Dowohonam was established in February 2021, it was established through the help of friends and supporters of social media.

The Raw shea butter and The Golden Black soap was introduced through a mutual friend in Ghana whilst being on a family holiday – two national treasures that became favourites. Not only were the products organic but also exceptional with its unique texture, fragrance and effectiveness.

The excitement of receiving these 2 products inspired me to formally document my experience of using them – the feedback was overwhelmingly positive.

 

Due to the limited availability of authentic African organic products in the market, I decided to start a formal business to supply and promote them.

My goal is to provide high-quality, sustainably sourced organic goods that celebrate African heritage and meet growing demand for natural products. 

To make the experience more authentic we’ve curated gift boxes and other thougthful surprises that brings joy and a personal touch to every giftbox.​

This business idea came about through God’s guidance. I prayed for a business idea and he blessed me with this vision – to create and grow it in a meaningful way. Through this journey, I’m committed to honouring that blessing by providing authentic products that reflects both purpose and passion.
